When paying by check, be sure that the face of your check has the following: 
 
Name and current address
10-digit Property Index Number (PIN#)
Current date (no post-dated checks)
Valid signature
Made payable to Lake County Collector
Please use the envelopes provided when mailing in your payment.
 

 

• ​Partial Payments
  As a courtesy to Lake County taxpayers, partial payments will be accepted for the current year taxes, with the understanding that a penalty of 1.5% per month will be charged to any installment balance after each set due date.
   

• Pre-Payments December 1st through December 21st, the Lake County Treasurer’s Office will be accepting prepayments for tax year 2023 (payable in calendar year 2024).
